“We know that these institutions are some of the most effective tools for mobilizing transparent and high-quality investments in developing countries. That is why the United States has supported ongoing major efforts to develop these institutions so that they are ready for the challenges of the future.” The G20 includes Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, France, Germany, India, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Korea, Mexico, Russia, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Turkey, UK, US and European Union (27 member group). G20 member states represent about 85 percent of global GDP, more than 75 percent of global trade, and nearly two-thirds of the global population.
