Dehradun. The Uttarakhand government on Wednesday presented the first supplementary budget of Rs 11,321 crore for the financial year 2023-24. Presenting the supplementary budget on the second day of the current session of the state assembly, Finance Minister Prem Chand Aggarwal said that out of this, about Rs 3,530 crore is proposed under the revenue head and about Rs 7,790 crore under the capital head.
A provision of Rs 77,407 crore has been made in the current financial year’s budget. However, the need for this supplementary budget arose due to additional demand in some schemes, some new schemes and reimbursement of advance funds taken from the State Contingency Fund.
The supplementary budget includes about Rs 3,000 crore under centrally-sponsored scheme, about Rs 286 crore under NABARD, Rs 331 crore under externally aided scheme, about Rs 3,200 crore under state-sponsored schemes and funds for municipal corporations, municipalities, nagar panchayats, A provision of Rs 157 crore has been made for Zilla Panchayats, Kshetra Panchayats and Gram Panchayats.
