Washington, 01 September (Hindustan Times). Vivek Ramaswamy, an Indian-origin contender for the post of President in America, has become a fan of the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi. Ramaswamy praised Modi and praised India’s role in stopping China in the Indo-Pacific region.
Vivek Ramaswamy, who is fighting for the Republican Party’s claim for the presidential election in America, said that he does not know Prime Minister Modi personally yet. When Modi came to address the joint session of the US Congress, he (Ramaswamy) was greatly impressed as a leader after listening to his speech. Ramaswamy said he feels India has to move forward now. India has not yet reached the level of military commitments, which they see as disappointing in relation to trade.
On China, Ramaswamy said that India becoming a reliable partner for the US is a matter of concern for Chinese President Xi Jinping. Talking about the China-Taiwan conflict, he said that in the midst of the conflict with Taiwan, people have forgotten one thing and that is the Indian Ocean. This is the place from where oil is supplied to China. If India is a reliable partner, it can become a deterrent for Xi Jinping.
