You will have to fill and submit a form along with a copy of your Voter ID card photo, Aadhar card and other required documents. Share your new photo and information in the form. One thing is important that in some states a nominal fee is charged for changing the photo on Voter ID. However, it is still free in most states. After submitting the form, you will receive a slip from which you can check the status of your application.

You can fill the form online sitting at home

If you do not want to go to the office to get the photo changed in your Voter ID, then you can do this process sitting at home. For this you should have a new passport size photograph. Then you go to the National Voter Service Portal. Go here and register yourself first. After the registration process is over, log out and login again. After logging into the site, a home page will open in front of you. On this menu you will see the option of Correction in Personal Details. Here you will be given the option of many forms for correction. You fill Form 8 to change the photo. You can also select the language option of your choice to fill the form. After this, state, assembly name and district, name, serial number, identity card number etc. will be asked in the form. Fill it after looking properly. Many options for correction in the form are given here. In this you select the option of photo change. There you will see the browse option. Select this and upload your new photo. At the end of the form you will be asked for mobile number and email ID. Fill this properly. Through this you will get updates on improvements. Then fill the Captcha code and press the submit button. You will see the reference number on the screen, save it and keep it.
