Women deserve respect: Kangana

Women deserve respect: Kangana

[ad_1]

According to Manu SmritiIn the house where women are respected, all the gods reside there, where they are not respected and honored, all the work done becomes futile. Regarding the nature of women, it has been said in Shri Ramcharit Manas that the nature of women is unknowable, serious and mysterious in every way. Even if someone catches his reflection in the mirror, he cannot understand the nature and behavior of a woman.
From the above facts, it has been made clear from our scriptures regarding women that on one hand woman is respectable and on the other hand her nature has been described as mysterious.
The objectionable remarks made by Congress leader Supriya Srinet regarding actress Kangana Ranaut, BJP candidate from Mandi Lok Sabha seat of Himachal Pradesh, have become a cause of controversy today. A comment made by one woman to another woman raises many questions.
Responding to Supriya’s comment, Kangana said that Mandi is called Chhoti Kashi all over the world. I am particularly saddened by the derogatory comments made about Mandi and the people coming from this area who have been hurt by these comments.
In a letter to Supriya, Kangana wrote that in the last 20 years of my career as an artiste, I have played the roles of all types of women. From an innocent girl in the film Queen to a detective in the film Dhaakad, from a goddess in Manikarnika to a demon in Chandramukhi, from a prostitute in Rajjo to a revolutionary leader in Thalaivi, she has played the role. Kangana Ranaut said that every woman deserves respect, irrespective of her background and profession.
The first phase of Lok Sabha elections has started and the process of hurling words at each other has become more intense than before. Regarding words, the famous critic George Steiner had said that ‘Words are very delicate. Even meaningful words can be corrupted if the society that uses them has moved away from meaningful values, and those words are being used to cover up a lie. This can be understood from Kangana Ranaut’s comment. Supriya Shrinet, on the other hand, clarified that many people have access to her Facebook and Instagram accounts and one of them has made inappropriate posts. He said, as soon as I came to know, I deleted that post. Anyone who knows me knows very well that I can never make personal and indecent comments towards any woman.
Supriya Shrinet herself is a leader of Congress and has a special identity in politics. There are very few who agree with what she is saying in her defense. Yes, his comments on Kangana Ranaut have hurt the sentiments of the people of Mandi, due to which Congress will have to face not one but many difficulties.
