Xi Jinping meets Ma Yingqiu in Beijing – Dainik Savera Times

Xi Jinping, General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, met with the Taiwanese delegation led by Ma Yingqiu in Beijing on the afternoon of April 10. During this, Xi said that the compatriots living on both sides of the Taiwan Strait belong to the Chinese nation. The Chinese nation is a great nation in the world. It has built a long-lasting, brilliant and unique Chinese civilization, which every Chinese son and daughter is proud of and proud of. The two sides of the Taiwan Strait have an inseparable history throughout the more than 5,000-year history of the Chinese nation.

Xi Jinping also said that differences in systems cannot change the objective fact that both sides of the Taiwan Strait belong to the same country and nation. External intervention cannot stop the historical trend of reunification of family and country. Compatriots on both sides of the Taiwan Strait have always been of the same blood, connected by heart and helping each other.

Xi further said that youth are the hope and future of the country. Only when young people on both sides of the Taiwan Strait are good, will the future on both sides of the Strait be good. Youth on both sides should work together to create long-term well-being for the Chinese nation and continue to write new glories in the history of the Chinese nation.

Discussing the relations between the two sides of the Taiwan Strait, Xi Jinping expressed his views in four aspects, that is, firmly safeguard the common motherland of the Chinese nation, firmly work together to achieve the long-term well-being of the Chinese nation, Resolutely build a sense of community, and resolutely carry out the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.

At the meeting, Ma Yingqiu said that adhering to the “1992 Consensus” and opposing “Taiwan independence” are the common political basis for the peaceful development of relations between the two sides of the Taiwan Strait. The peoples of both sides belong to the Chinese nation, should strengthen exchanges and cooperation, jointly inherit and develop Chinese culture, advance the well-being of the peoples of both sides, and move forward hand in hand. Must be committed to the rejuvenation of the growing Chinese nation.

Let us tell you that Ma Yingchiu has been the former president of Taiwan’s Kuomintang Party. He led 20 Taiwanese youth and began their journey to the mainland on April 1. They visited Guangdong, Shaanxi provinces and Beijing city respectively. In addition, he participated in the worship ritual of Shwanyuan and Huangti, the ancestors of the Chinese nation, during the Qingming Festival in the year 2024.
