Now Chinese President Xi Jinping is about to travel to Russia to meet his counterpart Vladimir Putin. Chinese President Xi Jinping is scheduled to visit Russia from March 20 to 22. China’s Foreign Ministry announced on Friday. This is Xi’s first visit to Russia since the invasion of Ukraine in late February last year. The two leaders last met in Samarkand, Uzbekistan in September.

The ministry said the visit was at the request of Russian President Vladimir Putin. It did not say whether Putin would meet with Xi. The Kremlin said on Friday that Chinese President Xi Jinping would be on a state visit to Russia from March 20-22. The Kremlin said that during the talks they would discuss topical issues of comprehensive partnership ties and further development of strategic cooperation between Russia and China. It added, “Several important bilateral documents will be signed.
