Zelensky was greeted with a hug by Macron on the steps of the Elysee Palace on Wednesday night before the three leaders went inside. The visit marks a change in Ukraine’s relations with France and Germany. Earlier, many people in Ukraine said that both countries are not helping enough in the war. “Ukraine can count on France, its European allies and partners to win the war,” Macron said before the dinner. Russia cannot and should not win the war.” He said they would discuss Ukraine’s “operational needs.” Macron said, “We will keep trying.” Earlier in Britain, Zelensky thanked the British people for supporting him from “day one” of Russia’s invasion. British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak said that giving fighter aircraft to Ukraine was also discussed. “All aspects were discussed,” he said at a press conference at a UK military base.
