New Delhi, March 20 (HS). Online food delivery company Zomato has withdrawn the decision of making its veg delivery boys wear green dresses in less than 24 hours. The company said that their delivery boys will wear red T-shirts like before.

Zomato Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Deepinder Goyal said in a statement issued on ‘ Will remain in costume. Amid criticism over the launch of a separate service for the supply of vegetarian products, the company has said that all its employees will be seen wearing only red colored costumes as before.

Zomato’s decision to create a separate unit for the supply of vegetarian products of Zomato, an online supplier of food items, had started facing opposition on social media. People said that there could be a dispute regarding allowing the suppliers to enter the residential society on the basis of red and green colors. After this, Zomato has changed this decision. Goyal said that with all the drivers dressed only in red, there would be no difference between the suppliers of vegetarian or non-vegetarian products. However, these two sections will continue to appear separately on the company’s app.

In fact, online food delivery company Zomato had launched ‘Pure Veg Mode’ and ‘Pure Veg Fleet’ a day ago for customers with 100% vegetarian diet preference. The company had said that customers will get ‘Pure Veg Mode’ in the app. The company had said that in “Pure Veg Mode”, food will be delivered to users only from those restaurants where only vegetarian food is prepared.

It is noteworthy that Zomato is an Indian multinational online restaurant searching and food ordering company. It was founded by Pankaj Chadha and Deepinder Goyal in the year 2008.
