Zoom airline flies again, starts services for Ayodhya

New Delhi (Uttam Hindu News): Reviving its operations, domestic company Zoom Airlines on Wednesday started its operations with flight services from Delhi to Ayodhya.
The airline deployed its fleet of Bombardier CRJ200ER aircraft for services on the Delhi-Ayodhya route, which has already emerged as one of India’s most sought-after spiritual tourism hotspots.
In August last year, aviation watchdog, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), had given its approval to Zoom Airlines to start commercial passenger operations in India.
Initially established in April 2013, Zoom Airlines or Zexus Air acquired its first aircraft, a Bombardier CRJ200. However, it only began operations in February 2017. Despite its efforts, the airline struggled to attract significant air passenger traffic.
Due to security concerns, DGCA suspended his air operator certificate for a period of more than a year in July 2018.
Atul Gambhir, CEO, Zoom, said, “We are pleased to announce the re-launch of Zoom with services connecting Ayodhya and Delhi. Zoom is dedicated to enhancing regional connectivity in India. The new flight services aim to connect people, cultures and regions to this spiritual hub.”
Gambhir said, “We are seeing significant growth in domestic air travel passengers in India. The proliferation of low-cost airline flights, streamlined booking systems, better customer experience and flexible airline schedules are the major factors contributing to this growth. Zoom will align with these growth elements, enhancing the travel experience and making it more attractive to individuals with a focus on quality improvement.”
He said the airline will also continue in its supporting role while promoting the government’s regional connectivity scheme (RCS-UDAN) by introducing additional services focused on flight routes as part of its service revival.
Gambhir said, “We are also looking at exploring new routes and expanding our network to include more tier-2 cities. This will provide additional travel options to passengers, which will further contribute to the growth of the domestic aviation sector. ,
