At least 33 people have died and 27 others have been injured in three days due to flash floods caused by heavy rains in Afghanistan. Abdullah Janan Saik, Taliban spokesman for the Ministry of Natural Disaster Management, said on Sunday that there had been flash floods in the capital Kabul and several provinces. He said that due to the flood, more than 600 houses have been destroyed or damaged while about 200 cattle have died.

SAC said that 800 hectares of agricultural land has also been destroyed by the floods and more than 85 kilometers of roads have been damaged. He said that the floods caused the most damage in Western Farah, Herat, Southern Zabul and Kandahar provinces. The Meteorological Department has predicted more rain in the coming days in most of the 34 provinces of Afghanistan.
