91 people died in Tanzania and Afghanistan due to floods

Floods: At least 58 people died in the last two weeks due to floods in Tanzania. Heavy rain continues in this East African country. The government gave this information. The government said that the rains wreaked maximum havoc in the coastal areas and about 126,831 people were affected.

Tanzania will build 14 dams to avoid floods

Government spokesperson Mobhare Matinyi said that food and other essential items were distributed to the affected people on Sunday. He told that Tanzania plans to build 14 dams to avoid future floods. In some parts of East Africa, people are facing the problem of heavy rains and floods. So far 13 people have died due to floods in Kenya. Infrastructure has also been deeply damaged.

33 people died due to sudden floods in Afghanistan

At least 33 people have died and 27 others have been injured in three days due to flash floods caused by heavy rains in Afghanistan. Abdullah Janan Saik, Taliban spokesman for the Ministry of Natural Disaster Management, said on Sunday that there had been flash floods in the capital Kabul and several provinces. He said that due to the flood, more than 600 houses have been destroyed or damaged while about 200 cattle have died.

800 hectares of agricultural land destroyed by flood

SAC said that 800 hectares of agricultural land has also been destroyed by the floods and more than 85 kilometers of roads have been damaged. He said that the floods caused the most damage in Western Farah, Herat, Southern Zabul and Kandahar provinces. The Meteorological Department has predicted more rain in the coming days in most of the 34 provinces of Afghanistan.
