Air India issued a statement
An Air India spokesperson said in a statement that the airline has reviewed the existing policy on offering alcohol in flight based on the guidelines of the American National Restaurant Association (NRA), practices adopted by other airlines. It was said in the statement that this is largely in line with the existing practices of Air India. However, some adjustments have been made for better clarity. The NRA’s traffic light system has been incorporated to help crews identify and manage potential cases of intoxication.
