Bapatla Superintendent of Police (SP) Vakul Jindal said the Indian Air Force (IAF) successfully tested emergency aircraft landing on National Highway-16 near Pichikalagudipadu village on Monday. The official said the test involving two transport aircraft, AN-32 and Dornier, was aimed at strengthening the emergency preparedness of the Indian Air Force to face any emergency in future. Jindal said that the trial landing exercise has been completed successfully. Two transport aircraft, AN-32 and Dornier, landed. Apart from the transport aircraft, several fighter aircraft including Sukhoi Su-30 flew over the facility without landing as part of the exercise, the SP said.
