The GCMMF had earlier increased milk prices by Rs 2 per liter in August last year. However, on February 3, the union had increased the prices of milk by Rs 2 per liter in the rest of the country except Gujarat.

Behind the increase in the price of Amul milk in Gujarat, the company has informed by giving a statement that an increase in the production and cost of milk has been registered in the last few months. In the last few months, an increase of 13 to 14 per cent has been recorded in the prices of animal feed. In such a situation, the cost price of the farmers has increased rapidly. After which the company has now decided to increase the prices of milk in the state. It is worth noting that Amul has increased the prices of milk several times in the last several months.
