OIC has once again made headlines by making controversial statements against India. OIC says that it expresses deep concern over the way the hundreds-year-old Babri Masjid was demolished and this temple was built on it. This statement of OIC has come after the inauguration of Ram Temple. In a statement issued by the Islamic organization, it was said that the construction of Ram Temple in place of the already demolished Babri Masjid in the Indian city of Ayodhya is worrying.
OIC condemns these actions aimed at destroying the five century old Babri Masjid. If seen, there is not much difference between the statements of OIC and Pakistan. A statement from Pakistan had also come out before the OIC. In which he had also condemned the consecration ceremony. Pakistan’s Foreign Office said in a statement that the investiture ceremony is a sign of India’s growing majoritarianism. Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry said in a statement that a “mob of extremists” had demolished the Babri Masjid. It said, unfortunately, the Supreme Judiciary of India not only acquitted the criminals responsible for this heinous act, but also allowed the construction of a temple on the site of the demolished mosque.

OIC is an organization of 57 Muslim majority countries around the world. This is dominated by Saudi Arabia and its allied countries. But the thing to note is that Saudi Arabia is not even included in the top 10 countries of the world where Muslim population is highest. Apart from the member countries, Russia, Thailand and some other small countries have got officer status.
India is not a member
Actually, this organization identifies itself as the collective voice of the Muslim world. But India, which has the third largest population in the world, is not its member nor does it have observer status. Pakistan has been continuously trying to keep India away from this platform.
