Bangladesh Prime Minister and Awami League chief Sheikh Hasina again won the Gopalganj-3 parliamentary seat on Sunday amid sporadic violence and boycott of the elections by the main opposition Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP). According to the news of BDNews24, Sheikh Hasina got 249,965 votes, while her nearest rival and Bangladesh Supreme Party’s M Nizam Uddin Lashkar got only 469 votes. Gopalganj Deputy Commissioner and Election Officer Qazi Mahbubool Alam announced the results. Let us tell you, Hasina has won the Gopalganj-3 seat eight times since 1986. Prime Minister Hasina is going to get the fourth consecutive term. This will be his fifth term so far. Hasina has been ruling Bangladesh since 2009. According to the trends so far, Awami League candidates are leading on most of the seats.

Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said today i.e. on Sunday that she is not concerned about the acceptance of foreign media regarding the elections because their acceptance among the people of the country is the most important issue. Let us tell you, Hasina had said this comment after casting her vote in the 12th general elections of the country. Let us tell you, the main opposition party Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) had boycotted the elections. According to the initial estimates of the Election Commission, the turnout was around 40 percent, although the final figures will be revealed only later.

He said that there were so many obstacles, but the people of the country were alert about their voting rights. National elections are held every five years.
