The avalanche buried 12 people under the snow, who had put up tents there to collect herbs. Seven of them were rescued with the help of security personnel and local people. Quoting Deputy Superintendent of Police Ishwaridutt Bhatt, it has been told in the news that these bodies were found about one and a half kilometer away from the place from where the three people had gone missing. He said, “On finding the body, Nepal Police and our team reached the spot. In another incident, a 32-year-old woman went missing after she was hit by an avalanche while collecting yarshagumba, police said. Yarsagumba herb is in great demand in the international market.
