Kathmandu : Both the black boxes of Yeti Airlines plane that crashed in Nepal on Sunday have been recovered on Monday. According to a news agency Bhasha, the ATR-72 aircraft crashed on Sunday, in which 72 people including four crew members were on board. Black boxes handed over to CAAN
‘Yeti Airlines’ spokesperson Sudarshan Bartola said that the ‘black boxes’ of the crashed plane have been recovered from the spot. He has been handed over to the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN). Kathmandu airport officials said that both the ‘black boxes’ of the crashed ‘Yeti Airlines’ plane have been recovered. According to the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN), the K9N-ANC ATR-72 aircraft took off from Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu at 10.33 am. While landing at Pokhara airport, the plane crashed on the banks of Seti river between the old airport and the new airport.
search operation resumed
Officials related to the case said that the search and rescue team started the search operation again on Monday. Both the ‘cockpit voice recorder’ and the aircraft ‘data recorder’ were recovered today. He told that the preparations for the post mortem of the dead bodies have been completed. A medical team is being airlifted to Pokhara from Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital in Kathmandu. As soon as they reach Pokhara, post mortem will be done at the Western Regional Hospital located there.

CVR records the conversation in the cockpit. In this, the conversation with the pilot and air traffic control is recorded. However, the CVR holds only 2 hours of cockpit recording. It is replaced with new data with a fixed time, whereas the FDR stores up to 25 hours of flight data.
