Local police chief Molvi Hamidullah Khalid was quoted by AFP as saying that Nabizada and her guard were shot dead in the same room around 3 a.m. on Saturday. He said that his brother and another security personnel were injured. The third security guard fled from the spot with the money and jewellery. The former MLA passed away on the first floor of her house, which she used as her office. Khalid said that the investigation is going on. He did not answer questions about possible motives.
