“At the abbey, where kings have been crowned for almost a thousand years, representatives of every religion will play a central role for the first time,” Sunak said in a statement on the eve of the historic event. “The coronation of King Charles III and Queen Camilla will be a moment of national pride,” he said. Sunak tweeted, “God save the Maharaja.” He said about the coronation ceremony, “The coronation ceremony for the first time in 70 years after the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II in June 1953 is not just a sight, but history, It is a proud expression of culture and traditions.
