A suspected Chinese spy balloon was spotted in US airspace. The US immediately captured this Chinese balloon but the Pentagon decided not to shoot it down as it could have harmed people on the ground. The ‘spy’ balloon floating in the air has created further tension on US-China relations.
No one is unaware of China’s intentions. China wants to rule the whole world. As per the policy of imperialism, it gradually enters the land of other countries. China has been doing this for a long time along the borders of India. For this reason, the border relations between China and India are going through a very bad phase. Now China’s eyes are on America. The battle for supremacy between the US and China continues. China has now fallen behind America while pursuing the intention of leading the world. China has taken the help of air to spy on America and entered its airspace.
A suspected Chinese spy balloon was spotted in US airspace. The US immediately captured this Chinese balloon but the Pentagon decided not to shoot it down as it could have harmed people on the ground. The ‘spy’ balloon floating in the air has created further tension on US-China relations. A senior defense official told reporters the Pentagon was confident the Chinese balloon was flying over “sensitive sites” to collect information. The balloon was spotted over Montana, home to one of the nation’s three nuclear missile launch facilities at Malmstrom Air Force Base.
The government is eyeing a balloon that “is currently traveling at an altitude well above commercial air traffic and does not present a military or physical danger to people on the ground”. The Pentagon said at a press briefing that similar balloons have been spotted in the past and that the US has taken steps to ensure it does not collect sensitive information.
The ‘spy’ balloon incident happened just days after US Secretary of State Antony Blinken visited China. to try to find some common ground He was to make his first visit to Beijing later this week. Although the visit has not been formally announced, both Beijing and Washington are talking of his imminent arrival. It was not immediately clear whether the discovery of the balloons would affect Blinken’s travel plans.
Balloon over Montana
The US got fighter jets including an F-22 ready to shoot down the balloon, but the Pentagon recommended against it because its size would create such a large debris field that it could put people in Montana at risk.
It was not clear what the military was doing to prevent it from collecting sensitive information or what would happen to the balloon if it was not shot down. The official did not specify the size of the balloon, but said it was large enough that, despite its height, commercial pilots could see it.
Some Montana residents took pictures of the “big white circle in the sky”. But the Pentagon would not confirm whether the large white balloon hanging above the field was a surveillance balloon. “I thought maybe it was a legit UFO,” a Montana resident told the AP. From spy balloons to the Chinese Communist Party spying on Americans via TikTok to CCP-linked companies buying up American agricultural land, I see dangerous developments for our national security,” Montana Governor Greg Gianforte said in a statement. Very bothered by the constant current.
Everyone wants a glimpse of the Chinese spy balloon, it’s gonna be THE raging internet trend for the next few days assuming the air force doesn’t shoot it down. If you’re not on your lawn getting noisy shots of every speck in the sky, you’re missing out. pic.twitter.com/SA630Tfgy6
