This wish of his has also started getting support from his ‘best friend’ China. It is believed that Pakistan’s desire to join BRICS can be taken forward from Russia as well. However, till now Pakistan has not made any formal request for this.

Saudi Arabia, Egypt, UAE, Argentina, Iran and Ethiopia will join BRICS as new members of BRICS. Till now nothing has been said by the officials of the country on Pakistan joining this organization. He simply said that when the group is yet to reach a consensus on it, it is too early to draw any conclusions. Recently there were reports that Pakistan has shown interest in joining BRICS and China has already started lobbying for it. BRICS represents about 40 percent of the world’s population and a quarter of global GDP. According to him, Pakistan’s membership can be given a green signal in any country where BRICS will be organized after Brazil. However, the political and economic system of the country can be a big question.
