Know what cipher is
Let us tell you that in the month of October last year, a special court of Pakistan had convicted former Prime Minister Imran Khan in the cipher case. Imran Khan, who has crossed the age of 70, was booked under the Official Secrets Act for leaking a secret diplomatic cable (cipher) sent by the Pakistan Embassy in Washington. After this, former PM Imran was arrested in August 2023. Let us discuss here that cipher or diplomatic cable is a communication which is sent by a foreign mission to its country. It contains information about all types of conversations, which is decoded and read.
When did the matter first come to light
Talking about the cipher case, it first came to light on March 27, 2022. After the removal of Imran Khan from power in April 2022, he had made several allegations in a public rally.
