Garima, a commerce graduate from Kirori Mal College, University of Delhi, secured the second position with commerce and accounts as her optional subjects.
After completing his graduation he started the preparation. After the outbreak of COVID-19, she returned to her hometown and continued with her preparations. Garima’s father passed away in the year 2015. After that, Garima’s mother took care of the entire family. Garima did her studies till tenth standard in Buxar only. Later, she moved to Varanasi for her higher secondary education. He cracked the exam in his second attempt. Hundreds of locals thronged his house on Piparpati Road, near Bungalow Ghat in Buxar to congratulate him and his family.
Garima said, “I was eager to appear for the UPSC exam since my childhood days. I was sure that I would ‘pass’ the UPSC exam, but I never thought that I would stand second.” She said, “After graduation, I started preparing for civil services. My mother and family members supported me a lot throughout my journey.” Garima told reporters soon after the result was announced that she kept her preparation very balanced and used to take ‘breaks’ during preparation and interact with friends and family. Used to meet relatives.
He said, “Motivation, self-study and analysis will make anyone crack the exam. Proper guidance is necessary to get success in UPSC exam. It does not matter whether you prepare for civil services in a small town or a big city. But I must say one thing that there are many advantages of preparing for civil services at home… I studied for almost 8-10 hours a day. I would like to work in the education sector. Our country is developing rapidly and has a lot of potential. I want to work for the youth. Our country has a treasure of youth power.
