Kerstin Kahler from Germany has been living in China for more than 20 years. Recently, in an interview given to the Chinese newspaper “China Daily”, he praised China’s development achievements. She attributes this to China’s openness to new knowledge, new ideas and international cooperation.
Kerstin Kähler said that if the Chinese people did not have the ability and practical spirit to adopt new technologies, the country would not be as strong as it is now.
During seven years of living and working in the city of Tsingtao in eastern China’s Shandong province, Kaehler witnessed China’s growing awareness of environmental protection and determination to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals. He said that Tsingtao plays an important role in building ecological civilization in the development of the West Coast New Area.
As General Manager of the German Enterprise Center in Tsingtao, Kerstin Kähler leads the team to build communication bridges between Chinese and German enterprises. They provide practical support to German companies and foreign-invested enterprises based in the center by sharing their local resource networks. Additionally, they also provide assistance to Chinese companies interested in exploring the German market.
