In the first quarter of this year, the growth index of small and medium enterprises in China stood at 89.3, which is 0.2 percent higher than the fourth quarter of last year. The Chinese Small and Medium Enterprises Association gave this information on April 9.
The survey showed that small and medium enterprises restored work and product after the Spring Festival. The number of enterprises restocking products by the end of March was 15 percent more than in February. At the same time, after two sessions, a series of policies were implemented to increase economic growth and benefit the people. This strengthened the confidence of enterprises.
It is said that various sub-indices of the development index improved completely in the first quarter. Both the market index and the capital index were higher by 0.3 percent, with the latter gaining the most. This clearly shows that there has been a significant improvement in the market expectations and financing conditions of small and medium enterprises.
The survey revealed that out of the eight core businesses of the national economy, the domestic orders index of five businesses, the investment index of five businesses and the sales price index of four businesses registered an increase.
