Grid connection of new energy investment project of Chinese enterprise in Uzbekistan made – Dainik Savera Times

On December 27, the first phase of a 1 GW photovoltaic project in Uzbekistan invested by the Chinese Gezhouba Group Overseas Investment Company connected 400 MW to the grid for power generation. The project is the largest photovoltaic project invested by a Chinese enterprise in Central Asia.
On the same day, the opening ceremony of the grid connection of Uzbekistan’s new energy investment project was held in Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan. Uzbekistani President Shavkat Mirziyoyev delivered a speech at the ceremony, congratulating the success of the project. He said Uzbekistan will continue to expand practical cooperation with foreign partners in the energy sector.
It is reported that the 1 GW photovoltaic project in Uzbekistan is the first large energy project to be invested and built by a Chinese enterprise in Central Asia after the first China-Central Asia Summit in May this year. It is also the largest photovoltaic project invested and built by a Chinese enterprise in Central Asia. The project can provide approximately 1,600 local jobs, during construction and operation. After the project officially comes into operation, the annual power output can reach 2.4 billion kilowatt hours.
