The former prime minister got bail in the prohibited money and terrorism cases filed against him. ATC judge Raja Jawad heard the terror case and granted bail to Khan till March 9 on furnishing a surety bond of Rs 100,000. Meanwhile, Justice Rakshanda Shaheen confirmed Khan’s bail in the prohibited money case. Khan was to appear in three courts on Tuesday to attend the hearing of several cases.
These include the banned money case in the banking court, the anti-terror case and the Toshakhana and attempt to murder cases, Geo News reported. Islamabad police had filed terror cases against PTI leaders, including Khan, after party workers took to the streets and damaged state property after Khan was disqualified in the Toshakhana case.
Cases are registered in many police stations
Cases were registered at various police stations in Islamabad naming hundreds of PTI workers and leaders for blocking roads and attacking police personnel at the behest of Khan, Asad Umar, Ali Nawaz Awan and others. Geo News reported that on October 2022, the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) registered a case against the PTI chief for allegedly receiving banned funds.
