Imran Khan’s beard has grown in jail, know how is the former PM of Pakistan

The statement of former Prime Minister Imran Khan, who is lodged in Pakistan’s jail, has come to the fore. He said on Friday that he is ready to be in jail for 1,000 years for his country. This information has been given in a news item in the media. A sessions court on August 5 sentenced Imran (70) to three years in prison for concealing income from the sale of government gifts (toshakhana). He is currently imprisoned in Attock Jail in Punjab province.
A division bench of Islamabad High Court Chief Justice Amir Farooq and Justice Tariq Mehmood Jahangiri will hear Imran’s petition on August 22. According to the news of ‘Express Tribune’ newspaper, Umiyar Niazi, a member of the legal team of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan, met Khan in Attock jail. After this, he spoke to the media on Friday and said that the health of the former Prime Minister is fine, although his beard had grown. The lawyer said that he (Imran) was given a mirror and shaving kit today.
Willing to spend 1,000 years in jail if needed
Niazi claimed that out of a team of six, only he was allowed to meet the former prime minister. He expressed his intention to file a contempt of court petition against the ‘conduct of the jailer’ for not allowing the legal team to meet the former prime minister despite court orders. Niazi quoted Khan as saying that I am not bothered about not being given facilities (in jail). Even if I am kept in jail for 1,000 years, it doesn’t matter and I am ready for it, because for freedom one has to sacrifice (somebody or the other).
Over 140 cases faced across the country
Khan is facing over 140 cases across the country after being ousted from power in April last year. There are serious allegations against him like terrorism, violence, blasphemy, corruption and murder.
