Mohammad Kobadlu was hanged after being sentenced for killing a policeman and injuring five others by running over his car during a rally in the town of Parand, near the capital Tehran, according to a report.
A ninth person has been hanged after months of protests. Kobadlu, 23, had pleaded guilty, the report said. He was provided access to a lawyer during the hearing. Kobadlu had filed an appeal against the death sentence awarded by the lower court. Later the Supreme Court kept the lower court’s decision intact.
