Experts say Jinping is aware that China is ageing. Its public debt is more than 282 per cent of GDP. When Jinping became president in 2012, China’s five years of spectacular growth came to an end. In 2006, China’s GDP was $2.75 trillion. In the year 2011, this GDP increased three times to $ 7.55 trillion. Jinping aims to make China the world’s leading superpower by the year 2049. This is the centenary year of the founding of the Communist Party. Jinping knows that to achieve that goal, China must first make itself a unique regional power in Asia.

India is not weak
Through diplomacy, India has explained to China that its position is not weak. That’s why Jinping is trying to put pressure on India in other ways. The Galvan violence in June 2020 was a major setback for China. China was surprised by India’s strong military preparations in LAC. China felt that India, which is always silent on Tibet and Taiwan, would remain silent this time too. But this did not happen. According to the International Monetary Fund (IMF), India’s GDP in 2022-23 on the basis of purchasing power parity (PPP) was $ 13,033, while that of China was $ 33,014.
