Japan’s lunar mission: Launching could not happen even for the third time. Loktej World News

Tokyo, August 28 (Hindustan). Japan’s lunar mission has been suspended once again, as the launch of ‘Chandra Mission’ could not be done for the third time due to bad weather. On Monday, Japan’s lunar mission was called off 30 minutes before take-off because the weather was not right for the launch. Now when the next launching will happen, it is not decided.

Japan’s space agency ‘Jaxa’ was about to send an advanced imaging satellite and a light-weight lander to the moon with its most reliable heavy payload rocket. This mission of Japan is being called ‘Smart Lander for Investigating Moon’ i.e. Slim. Because of its accuracy, it is also being called Moon sniper. According to the mission, the Japanese lander would have landed on the lunar surface in January, but the launch had to be postponed due to bad weather. Earlier the mission was to be launched on Saturday morning, but due to bad weather it was postponed to Sunday. For the second time on Sunday, it was postponed till Monday, but the Japanese Space Agency has decided to postpone the mission for the time being as the weather is not favorable on Monday.

Rocket maker Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Limited has not yet issued any statement nor announced the next date of launching. If Japan succeeds in making a soft landing on the lunar surface, it will become the fifth country after India to do so.

Only last week, Russia’s Luna-25 mission failed in soft landing on the lunar surface. However, India’s Chandrayaan-3 mission created history by landing successfully. America, Russia, China and recently India have successfully landed on the lunar surface.
