During his walking tour, Shihab traveled to India, Pakistan, Iran, Iraq and Kuwait. He had crossed the border from Kuwait to Saudi Arabia in the second week of May. After entering Saudi Arabia, Shihab went to the Islamic pilgrimage site of Medina. He spent 21 days in Madinah before going to Mecca. Shihab covered the distance of 440 km between Mecca and Medina in nine days. Now he will perform Haj after his mother Zainaba returns from Kerala.
Pakistan had blocked the way
Shihab, who hails from Kerala, runs his own YouTube channel. Through this he was giving his viewers constant updates about his journey from Kerala to Mecca. After starting his Haj pilgrimage in June last year, Shihab passed through several states in the country before reaching the Wagah border from where he was supposed to enter Pakistan. Here he faced his first hurdle when Pakistani immigration officials blocked his way as he did not have a visa.
Got visa in February 2023
Shihab had to wait for months at a school in Wagah to get a transit visa. He finally got a transit visa in February 2023 and entered Pakistan. After this interruption, his Saudi journey started once again. After four months, Shihab finally reached his destination for Haj pilgrimage.
