Following the information received from the Punjab Police and intelligence agencies, the police is conducting an intensive investigation campaign especially on the border of Udham Singh Nagar district with Nepal and the borders of Rampur, Pilibhit and Bareilly districts with Uttar Pradesh. In this case, City Superintendent of Police Manoj Kumar Katyal said that a campaign to search religious places and vehicles along the international border is being conducted.

Apart from this, posters of him and his companions have also been issued and pasted at various places. According to sources, the Punjab Police is apprehensive that Amritpal may take shelter here and flee to Nepal or any other country and in view of this it has alerted the Uttarakhand Police. Meanwhile, according to official sources, the Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) in Pithoragarh and the Indo-Nepal border are also keeping a close watch on the activities of Amritpal and his associates.
