Melbourne : This new case of vandalism in temples has come to light in Australia, in which Khalistan supporters vandalized a major temple in Brisbane on Saturday. The incident took place at the Sri Lakshmi Narayan Temple in Brisbane. The temple’s president, Satinder Shukla, was quoted as saying by ‘The Australia Today’ website: “The temple priest and devotees called this morning and informed me about the damage to the boundary wall of the temple.” Sarah Gates, director of Hindu Human Rights, said the latest vandalism was an attempt to terrorize Australian Hindus.
This latest incident follows a pattern of Sikhs for Justice globally, which is clearly an attempt to terrorize Australian Hindus, Gates said. This organization (pro-Khalistani) is involved in propaganda, cyber bullying as well as intimidation. Gates tweeted a picture of the Hindu community after the attack on the temple. The community members along with the temple committee cleaned the anti-Hindu slogans from the walls. He tweeted with a picture, Hindustan Zindabad. This is the fourth incident of vandalism in temples in Australia in 2 months. India has repeatedly condemned the vandalism against temples in Australia and has taken up the issue with the Australian government.
