Preparations for the wedding of Anant Ambani, son of famous business tycoon Mukesh Ambani and Nita Ambani, and his fiancee Radhika Merchant had started months in advance. The festivities are set to begin with the pre-wedding functions to be held from March 1 to March 3 in Jamnagar. Earlier, a community meal was organized in Jamnagar, where Radhika and Ananth personally served the food and interacted with the villagers.
Village man brought food for Mukesh Ambani:
During the community feast, amidst prayers and blessings for Radhika and Anant, some of the attendees also gave them gifts. Meanwhile, a person brought home-cooked food especially for Mukesh Ambani. Mukesh Ambani enjoyed the food with great gusto. He was seen holding the utensil and also praised the cook. Video of the incident has since gone viral, garnering widespread attention.
Feeding 51 thousand people:
At Jogwad village near Reliance Township, Mukesh Ambani, Anant Ambani, Radhika Merchant and other members of the Ambani family served traditional Gujarati dishes to villagers. The food service was also attended by Radhika’s grandmother and her parents Viren and Shaila Merchant. Food will be served to approximately 51,000 local residents over the next few days as the festivities continue.
The Ambani family received blessings from the local community for the upcoming wedding celebrations of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant. After the meal, attendees enjoyed traditional folk music performances, including renowned Gujarati singer Kirtidan Gadhvi, who entertained the crowd with his melodious voice.
Anant and Radhika’s journey:
Anant Ambani, the youngest son of Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani and Reliance Foundation founder and chairperson Nita Ambani, is to marry Radhika Merchant, daughter of entrepreneur Shaila Merchant and Anchor Healthcare CEO Viren Merchant. Anant and Radhika, who were childhood friends, got engaged in December 2022 at Shrinathji temple in Nathdwara, Rajasthan. Their grand engagement ceremony took place on January 19, 2023.
