Nawaz Sharif warned – two challenging years for the new government of Pakistan. Loktej World News

Islamabad, 29 February (HS). After the recently held general elections, former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s political party Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) is all set to take over the reins of the country. However, for this it had to form an alliance with Bilawal Bhutto’s party. Nawaz, popularly known as Bade Sharif in the country, addressed the PML-N parliamentary party meeting yesterday. He said that the next two years will be challenging for the coalition government. The government’s priority should be to get the economy back on track and end political instability. His younger brother and future Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif was also present in this meeting.

According to Dawn newspaper, the elder Sharif supported the agreement reached between PML-N and PPP to form the government and expressed hope that Shahbaz will rid the country of all its ‘huge’ problems. Nawaz said, “Shahbaz is the party’s candidate for the post of Prime Minister, while Sardar Ayaz Sadiq is our candidate for the post of National Assembly Speaker.”

Nawaz Sharif said that the next two years will be important for the new government at the Center due to the fragile economy and political situation of the country. The coalition government will have to face the opposition boldly in the beginning. He said the first task should be to control inflation and improve governance. After two years the next government will have ample opportunity to do a lot for the people and the country. He said, “The way Shahbaz Sharif ran the government for 16 months was quite challenging. He criticized PTI founder Imran Khan for promoting politics of hatred and misleading the youth.

On this occasion, Shahbaz recalled the achievements of his brother Nawaz Sharif during his previous tenure. Said- Nawaz Sharif freed the country from electricity crisis and provided a network of motorways across the country. He said that with the cooperation of alliance parties he will try his best to solve the problems of the country. He said that with the entry of three independent candidates, the total number of PML-N seats in the National Assembly has increased to 104.
