Jerusalem (Uttam Hindu News): Israeli-American cognitive psychologist and Nobel laureate in economics Daniel Kahneman passed away at the age of 90. “We have lost one of the most brilliant people,” Israeli President Isaac Herzog said in a statement on Wednesday. He said that Kahneman’s research has changed the way humanity understands, we are very proud of him.

The agency quoted the Israeli President as saying, “Even after Kahneman’s death, his contributions to the well-being of humanity cannot be forgotten.” It is noteworthy that Kahneman was awarded the Nobel Prize in 2002 for his focus on decision making under uncertain circumstances.

Kahneman was a fellow of the Center for the Study of Rationality at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, a member of the university’s psychology department, and a professor and researcher at several major American universities.
