Now UPI RuPay Card will work in UAE also, PM Modi-President Sheikh Bin Zayed started the service

Unified Payment Interface, commonly known as UPI, is an Indian instant payment system. PM Modi and President Mohammed bin Zayed held a bilateral meeting ahead of the launch of UPI and RuPay card services in the UAE.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan launched the Unified Payment Interface (UPI) and RuPay card services in the UAE on February 13. RuPay is an Indian multinational financial services and payment service system. Unified Payment Interface, commonly known as UPI, is an Indian instant payment system. Ahead of the launch of UPI and RuPay card services in the UAE, PM Modi and President Mohammed bin Zayed held a bilateral meeting and several memorandums of understanding (MOUs) were exchanged in his presence. Indian External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar, National Security Advisor Ajit Doval and Foreign Secretary Vinay Kwatra were part of the Indian delegation attending the bilateral talks.

Earlier, on reaching the airport, PM Modi was welcomed by Mohammad Bin Zayed. The two leaders shook hands and hugged each other. “I am extremely grateful to my brother HH Mohammed bin Zayed for taking out the time to welcome me at Abu Dhabi airport,” PM Modi said in a post on Twitter. I look forward to a meaningful visit that will further strengthen the friendship between India and the UAE. The Prime Minister also received a guard of honour.

PM Modi will inaugurate BAPS temple

The dir is located in Abu Murikha near Al Rahba on the Dubai-Abu Dhabi Sheikh Zayed Highway. It is built on approximately 27 acres of land in Abu Dhabi and the structure work has been going on since 2019. The land for the temple was donated by the Government of the United Arab Emirates. There are three other Hindu temples in the UAE which are located in Dubai. Spread over a large area with stone architecture, the BAPS temple will be the largest in the Gulf region.
