Outcry over rain in Afghanistan and Pakistan; Vij Padun 57 dead

Pudhari Online Desk: Heavy rains and hail storms in Afghanistan and Pakistan have resulted in the death of 57 people. More than a thousand houses were damaged in both the countries and more than 250 animals were lost.
The dead include 33 people from Afghanistan and 24 from Pakistan. Punjab province has the highest number of deaths in Pakistan. According to the weather reports of both the countries, there is a possibility of heavy rain in the coming days.
Abdullah Janan Sack, spokesman for the Taliban’s Ministry of Natural Disaster Management, said that the capital Kabul and many provinces outside the country have been affected by the earthquake. Due to this, about 800 hectares of land has been destroyed and roads have been damaged. Western Farah, Herat, southern Jhabul and Kandahar provinces were the most damaged. The Meteorological Department has indicated that there may be heavy rain in most of the 34 provinces of Afghanistan in the coming days.
