According to Pakistani media reports, about 40,392 tonnes of wheat has been stolen from government warehouses in 10 districts of Sindh province. There is a suspicion of theft of cow by the workers of Sindh food department. There is a great drought of food grains in Pakistan. Due to this people are doing agitation on the road. Or from a humanitarian point of view, or in the beginning of the month, Russia would have supplied 50,000 tonnes of cow to Pakistan. According to Pakistani officials, Russia is planning to supply 4 lakh 50 thousand tonnes of wheat to Pakistan through 9 cargo ships.

According to the report given by The News newspaper, the officials involved in the wheat theft scam have been suspended. This includes 49 food supervisors and 18 food inspectors. Wheat was stolen from godowns in Dadu, Larkana, Shaheed Benazirabad, Shahdadkot, Jacobabad, Khairpur, Sukkur, Ghotki, Sanghar and Mirpurkhas districts, he said.
