Islamabad. The party of jailed former Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan announced the cancellation of its much-publicized rally here on Saturday, citing religious reasons. The rally was to demand the release of party founder Imran Khan, who has been in jail since August last year after being convicted in various cases.

According to Geo News news, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Barrister Gauhar Ali Khan on Wednesday informed his party’s supporters that the decision has been taken due to ‘Lailat-ul-Qadr’.
