PM Modi congratulated Pakistan’s new Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif

New Delhi (Uttam Hindu News): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday congratulated Shehbaz Sharif who took oath as the 24th Prime Minister of Pakistan.
Sharif, 72, president of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), was administered the oath of office at a ceremony held at the presidential residence Aiwan-e-Sadr on Monday.
“Congratulations to Shahbaz Sharif on taking oath as Prime Minister of Pakistan,” PM Modi wrote on Instagram.
Shehbaz Sharif, younger brother of former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, served as the country’s PM from April 11, 2022, to August 14, 2023, after the Imran Khan government lost the no-confidence motion.
Nawaz Sharif, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz and PML-N workers attended the swearing-in ceremony.
Shehbaz Sharif was the unanimous candidate of PML-N and PPP after agreeing to a power-sharing deal to form a coalition government.
