Thimphu, March 22 (Hindustan Reporter) Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived here today on a two-day state visit to Bhutan. Bhutan’s Prime Minister Tshering Tobgay warmly welcomed his Indian counterpart Narendra Modi with a hug at Paro airport. Prime Minister Modi will stay in the neighboring country from 22 to 23 March. Earlier, Indian Prime Minister Modi’s visit to Bhutan was postponed on March 21 due to bad weather at Paro airport.
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi left for Bhutan from New Delhi at around 7 am today. Regarding the Bhutan visit, Prime Minister Narendra Modi wrote in his X Post this morning, “I will participate in various programs with the aim of further strengthening the India-Bhutan partnership. I look forward to talks with His Majesty the King of Bhutan, His Majesty IV Druk Gyalpo and the Prime Minister.”
Earlier, Bhutan’s Prime Minister Tshering Tobgay was on a five-day visit to India from Thursday last week. This was his first foreign visit after assuming the charge of Prime Minister in January. During his visit he met President Draupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
