New Delhi Russian President Vladimir Putin’s spokesman the Kremlin said on Friday that Putin will not come to India to attend the G20 summit in Delhi next month. Putin’s spokesman Dmitry Peskov told the media in Moscow that the Russian President is not planning a visit to India for the G20 summit.
Now the main emphasis is on a special military operation in Ukraine, Peskov said. The G20 summit is scheduled to be held in Delhi on 9-10 September. US President Joe Biden has confirmed his participation in the summit and will be in the national capital from September 7 to 10. The International Criminal Court (ICC) has issued an arrest warrant accusing Putin of war crimes in Ukraine. However, the Kremlin has rejected these allegations outright. This means that Vladimir Putin is at risk of being arrested when traveling abroad.
