He was born on May 25, 1886 in the house of father Vinod Bihari Bose from mother Bhuvaneshwari Devi’s womb in the Bengali family of Subaldah village of Bardhaman district of Bengal. Early education took place in Subaldah. At the age of just 3, Ras Bihari lost his mother and was brought up by his maternal aunt.
Bose’s college education took place at Duplex College in Chandannagar, where the principal, Charu Chandra Roy, inspired him for revolutionary politics. Later, Bose also obtained medical science and engineering degrees from France and Germany.
Initially, he worked for some time as Head Clerk at Forest Research Institute, Dehradun. During the same time, he was introduced to Amarendra Chatterjee of a revolutionary organization named Yugantar led by revolutionary Jatin Mukherjee and joined the revolutionaries of Bengal.
Later he came close to prominent Arya Samaj revolutionaries of United Provinces and Punjab after coming in contact with Yatindranath Banerjee alias Niralamba Swami, a political disciple of Aurobindo. From the time of Bang Bhang in 1907, he started getting involved in revolutionary activities.
Despite being in government service, he organized the revolutionary party. To constitute it, he had to travel widely through the country very cautiously.

Varanasi was a major center of his revolutionary work, where he used to conduct the revolutionary movement secretly. You were successful in organizing revolutionaries from Varanasi to Singapore. In 1912, a program was organized by the British to commemorate the transfer of the country’s capital from Calcutta to Delhi. On December 23, 1912, the Viceroy of India, Governor General Lord Hardinge was being taken out on an elephant at Chandni Chowk in Delhi, when Ras Behari made a plan to bomb him.

Yugantar Dal member Basant Kumar Vishwas threw a bomb at Hardinge’s buggy, but missed the target and Basant was caught by the police. Taking advantage of the stampede caused by the bomb, Ras Bihari escaped from the police and went to Dehradun by train overnight.
The very next day after the bomb was thrown, he started working in his office as if nothing had happened. A few months after the attack, Harding came to Dehradun’s Forest Research Institute as a guest. In his honor, Ras Bihari had also organized a grand reception.
No one was aware of all these things that this person was behind the attack on the Viceroy. Seeing the strictness of the police, in June 1915 Raja P.N. Reached Japan under the pseudonym of Tagore and stayed there and started working for the independence of the country. He also brought out a newspaper named New Asia there. Not only this, he also learned Japanese language and wrote 16 books. He organized Indians by opening a hotel in Tokyo and translated ‘Ramayana’ into Japanese language.
When the British government came to know that Rash Behari Bose was in Japan, it demanded to hand him over. The Japanese government had accepted this demand, but Toyama, the president of Japan’s most powerful nationalist organization Blade Dragon, gave shelter to Bose. After this no Japanese officer had the courage to arrest Bose.

He remained in this condition for eight years. 1916 Married Toshiko Soma, daughter of Soma Aizō and Soma Kotsuko, a famous Pan Asian advocate of Japan. He had a son and a daughter from Soma. In 1923, Bose took citizenship there. He started living in Japan as a journalist and writer. Rash Behari Bose also played an important role in making the Japanese officials stand in favor of the Indian nationalists and getting them active support for the country’s freedom movement. He decided to establish the ‘Indian Independence League’ on March 28, 1942 in Tokyo.
The Military Branch was formed in September 1942 and Subhash Chandra Bose was made the President. With the help of the Japanese, Netaji’s forces reached Chittagong, Kohima, Imphal, but the attack on Japan changed the course of the World War. The Japanese military command sent Rash Behari Bose and General Mohan Singh to the INA. removed from the leadership of Rash Behari died on January 21, 1945. After 2 years of his death, his dream of independent India was fulfilled. Shortly before his death, the Japanese government had also decorated him with the honor of ‘Order of the Rising Sun’.
