Hospice : Due to the ongoing war between Russia and Ukraine, the demand for tea in Europe has decreased by 40 percent. Due to decreased demand, prices have also decreased significantly. Kangra’s tea industry, which has dominated the global tea market for its excellent quality, has started to waver due to the war. While the production in Dharamshala’s Maan Tea Factory has increased by 50 thousand kilograms in the last 13 years, due to the war, clouds of danger are looming over this tea unit. In such a situation, employment crisis has arisen for the workers also.

If the war continues, it is certain that it will have a negative impact on the tea industry. According to Amanpal Singh, an expert in tea production, marketing and export sector, during the tea auction held in Kolkata, 4 kg 300 gram sample from each lot is distributed to the buyers. Due to this, once the auction is not held, the companies have to bear the loss of 4 kg 300 grams of tea leaves from each lot of tea. Prices have also come down, which is due to demand.

The main reason behind the decline in demand is the ongoing war between Russia and Ukraine and if the war continues like this, the possibility of huge loss to the tea industry cannot be ruled out. According to Amanpal Singh, there has been a continuous increase in the production of tea and it is also in demand in the international market. The tea industry is in crisis due to the Russia-Ukraine war. He told that due to reduced demand for tea in Europe and Iran, which are considered big markets for Kangra tea, the prices have come down, due to which the tea industry is facing losses.

Oolong black tea is completely prepared by hand

,Oolong tea, prepared at an altitude of 4000 to 6500 feet in Himachal, is a special favorite of the people of Europe. Hand Rolled Oolong Tea is a tea here which is completely processed by hand.
