Russian President Putin praised India’s achievements and influence

Moscow: Russian President Vladimir Putin on Friday sent Republic Day greetings to President Draupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi and praised the country’s achievements and influence in the global arena. The Constitution was adopted on 26 January 1950 after the end of British colonial rule in India. Republic Day is celebrated on the day of its implementation.
In a message issued by the Kremlin’s presidential office, Putin was quoted as saying, “India has achieved impressive success in social, economic, scientific, technological and other fields, it has exercised such a wide influence in the world arena, which it deserves and actively participates in resolving the most important issues on the international agenda.” Mr Putin said Moscow attaches great importance to its privileged partnership with New Delhi. He expressed confidence that the two countries will continue to work to expand constructive cooperation in common interest.
