New Delhi (Uttam Hindu News): A big news has come out from Pakistan. Underworld don Amir Sarfaraz shot dead by ‘unknown assailants’ in Islampura, Lahore. Amir Sarfaraz had murdered Sarabjit Singh, who was lodged in a Pakistani jail, on the instructions of ISI. It is being claimed in media reports that the incident was carried out when he was going somewhere in his car.
Actually, Indian citizen Sarabjit Singh died on 2 May 2013. In the year 1991, the Pakistani court had sentenced Sarabjit Singh on charges of four bomb blasts in Lahore and Faisalabad. About 10 people died in these blasts. In March 2006, the Supreme Court of Pakistan rejected Sarabjit’s mercy petition and upheld the death sentence awarded to him. After this, some prisoners attacked Sarabjit in the Central Jail of Lahore and he died in the hospital five days later.
Sarabjit Singh was a resident of Bhikhiwind village of Tarn Taran district situated on the India-Pakistan border. He was a farmer. On August 30, 1990, he unknowingly reached the Pakistani border, from where he was arrested by the Pakistani Army. At that time Sarabjit had argued that he had crossed the border and reached Pakistan by mistake.
