New Delhi, 06 December (HS). Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has made it to the list of 100 most powerful women of American business magazine Forbes. Four Indian-origin women have been included in the Forbes list.
Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman is ranked 32nd in Forbes’ list of powerful women. This is the 5th consecutive time that Nirmala Sitharaman has made it to this list. Last year she was ranked 36th in this list, whereas in 2021 she was ranked 37th. This time the ranking has been given on the basis of women’s contribution to the global environment, education to women, work for their rights and reducing gender-related violence.
European Commission chief Ursula von der Leyen has topped the list of the world’s 100 most powerful women.
